The admission process has ended, with classes scheduled to begin across the country from September 23.

Nearly 1 million students have applied for admission to Class XI for the 2026–2027 academic year. The online application process ended at 8:00 PM on September 13.

Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, shared the information on Monday afternoon.

He said the exact number of applications had not yet been received from BUET, which is handling the technical side of the admission process. He said the boards had learned verbally that around 1 million students had applied.

“We will soon publish the list showing which students have been nominated for which colleges,” he said.

According to the admission notice, the results of the selected students are scheduled to be published at 8:00 PM on September 16. However, the information provided by the education board chairman also mentions September 17 as the result date.

Selected students will have until 8:00 PM on September 18 to confirm their admission. If a student does not complete the confirmation within the deadline, the selection and application will be cancelled.

The migration results will be published at 8:00 PM on September 19. Migration means a change in college based on the student’s stated preference order.

The Class XI admission process will then continue from September 20 to 22. Students will complete the remaining admission steps during this period.

Classes are scheduled to begin across Bangladesh on September 23. However, if that day is declared a holiday for Fateha-e-Yazdaham, classes may begin on September 24 instead.

Students and guardians should follow official notices from the education boards for the final result date and other admission updates.
