The updated Baleno gets a new three-cylinder petrol engine, CNG options, and Level 2 ADAS on the top Alpha (O) variant.
Maruti Suzuki has released the full variant-wise price list for the 2026 Baleno facelift. The premium hatchback is now priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, in India.
The updated Baleno was introduced on September 5 with an announced starting price of Rs 6.10 lakh. The latest price list puts the petrol-manual Sigma variant below Rs 6 lakh.
The 2026 Baleno is available in five trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O). Buyers can choose petrol-manual, petrol-AMT and factory-fitted CNG versions, depending on the variant.
The petrol-AMT versions cost Rs 50,000 more than their matching manual variants. CNG versions in the Delta and Zeta trims cost Rs 92,000 more than the related petrol-manual models.

New Three-Cylinder Petrol Engine
The facelift also brings a major change to the engine. Maruti Suzuki has replaced the earlier 1.2-litre K12N four-cylinder petrol engine with the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E unit.
The Z12E engine produces 83 hp and 112 Nm of torque. That is 7 hp and 1 Nm lower than the outgoing engine. However, the company claims improved fuel efficiency with the new unit.
The petrol-manual version has a claimed efficiency of 23.80 kmpl. This is 1.45 kmpl higher than the previous manual model. The petrol-AMT version returns a claimed 24.77 kmpl, which is 1.83 kmpl higher.
The new engine comes with a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT. The AMT option is aimed at buyers who want easier driving in busy city traffic.
Baleno CNG Mileage and Power
The CNG version also uses the 1.2-litre Z12E engine. On CNG, it produces 70 hp and 102 Nm and comes only with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of 33.61 km per kg for the CNG versions. This is around 3 km per kg better than the earlier CNG Baleno.
The CNG models may appeal to buyers with high monthly driving needs and easy access to CNG stations. There is no AMT-CNG version in the 2026 Baleno.
Features and Variants
The Alpha (O) is the top variant and gets Level 2 ADAS and ventilated front seats. The facelift also adds a larger infotainment display, updated design details and other convenience features on selected variants.
The Sigma is the entry-level model and is available only with the petrol-manual setup. Delta and Zeta offer the widest choice, including petrol manual, petrol AMT and CNG manual versions.
Alpha targets buyers looking for more equipment. The Alpha (O) adds the highest level of features and safety equipment in the range.
2026 Baleno Rivals
The Baleno continues to compete with the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza. The Altroz starts at Rs 6 lakh, while the Hyundai i20 also starts at Rs 6 lakh.
The sportier i20 N Line starts at Rs 9.27 lakh. The Toyota Glanza starts at Rs 6.73 lakh.
With the complete price list now available, buyers can compare the five trims and three powertrain choices. The main choice will depend on budget, transmission preference and expected monthly driving needs.
